BioDeliver WebShop Platform

The BioDeliver WebShop Platform is the leading eCommerce solution for the organic food
industry in Germany. It was primarily built around the complexities of a subscription
delivery business model, but is also used by dozens of traditional retail stores
as their primary web shop. This highly customizeable WebShop platform empowers customers of all technical
skill levels to create their own web shops, mostly via Drag & Drop widgets, in our own in-house developed
CMS (fully object-oriented PHP).
These shops are also closely tied into our Biooffice back-office system.
My Responsibilities
Together with a small team of talented software engineers, I helped design, implement, monitor, and maintain the BioDeliver WebShop platform over the past 7+ years. On a typical day, this involved the design and implementation of new features, but also the use of Graylog for proactively identifying bugs and performance issues. Grafana is used to visually monitor various network and system metrics for a dozen servers that power hundreds of shops both small and large.
